Isaac "Ike"
Smith
May 31, 1963 — Mar 23, 2014
The passing of Isaac Smith has called us together today. There is no death, an angel form walks o'er the earth with silent tread, and beams our loved ones away; and then we call them dead. But, they are ever near us, though unseen.
Ike was the second child born to Sylvia Lee Smith. He was born, May 31, 1963.
He was converted at an early age, baptized and joined St. Paul No. 1 Baptist Church. He was a faithful, loyal, and vocal member until his health failed. He attended school in Franklin Parish, Bertha Nelson Training Center in Winnsboro. Isaac participated in the Special Olympics for many years and received certificates and medals in different events.
On the evening of March 23, 2014, Isaac was called home, away to a land that is free from sickness, sorrow, pain, and death.
Isaac Smith leaves to mourn his loss: one brother, Bobby Smith(Veronica), Sicily Island, LA; one sister Delane Smith, Ruston, LA; three aunts, Gertha L. Smith, Wisner, LA, Stella Smith, Los Angeles, CA, Ruby Goldman, Winnsboro, LA, ; two uncles, Johnny Smith(Joyce), Los Angeles, CA and Roosevelt Goldman, Winnsboro, LA.
Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many special friends.
